MLS debut experience
Speaking about the game Gudio explained it's challenging nature "this game actually took a little bit of a turn for the worse for me" he added.
During the match after dismissing a coach and a few video reviews he said "it kind of snowballed into a big mess."
"It was not easy it was the most difficult game I have ever been part of at any level" Guido added.
Dealing with tough situations
Guido gave referees dealing with tough situations during a match 3 pieces of advice.
1: You have to be professional and keep your cool
2: Know it's not always going to be easy
3: You have to be ready to make a decision based on player behavior and react accordingly
After asking Guido about how he felt after the match he said "I came out of it a little upset, kind of beating myself up, I'm like what did I do to let it get to this point."
"You never know what type of mood the players are going to be in, you don't know how players are going to react to certain situations" he said.
"What I learned the most from that game is your going to have weird situations and not everything is going to go as planned" Guido added.
Guido ended saying "looking back I'm happy with how I handled myself, I'm happy with how I handled the particular situation... It was a very memorable match that I will never forget but, it kind of just grounded me and reminded me that anything can happen even on your first game, your 10th game, your 100th game, you just have to be ready to respond appropriately."
